Successful Delivery of Two Major Nuclear Power Key Equipment Boosts Indigenous Development to New Level

Recently, Dalian Dagao Valve Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Dalian Dagao) achieved an important delivery milestone — the self-developed CAP1000 "PV64 Main Steam Isolation Valve" and "PV70 Burst Valve" successfully completed acceptance and delivery. The successful delivery of these two nuclear-grade key equipment marks a solid step forward for China in the field of indigenous development of nuclear power key equipment, provides critical indigenous technological support for the construction of the world's first CAP1000 unit, and lays the foundation for the promotion of fourth-generation nuclear power technology.

As one of the key equipment for Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant Unit 3, the CAP1000 main steam isolation valve is a key achievement under the National Major Science and Technology Program, jointly tackled by Dalian Dagao and the State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute over many years. This valve undertakes the critical mission of rapidly shutting off within 2-5 seconds under severe accident conditions to prevent core meltdown, is designed to operate stably for 60 years under specified high-temperature service conditions, is classified as Nuclear Class 2, meets the SSE (6g) seismic requirement, and all its performance indicators are comparable to those of international counterparts.

As one of the key equipment of Haiyang Nuclear Power Unit 3, the CAP1000 rupture disc valve possesses fully independent intellectual property rights and technology, meeting the requirements for high-reliability operation under the harsh operating environments in nuclear power plants such as high temperature, high humidity, and high radiation, and is at an internationally advanced level.
